This plug is intended to be used with various vehicles with factory valved exhausts that have deleted the rear exhaust valve. If the valve is not plugged in the car will often show a check engine light which can prevent you from selecting different drive modes. With this plugged into the connector where the exhaust valve originally was the vehicle will continue to work without issue.
